More than 80 providers, practitioners and representatives from DE&T and CAE attended the Marysville Conference on the last Thursday and Friday in November.
The theme of the conference was “Reflections & Futures” with the aim to give participants the opportunity to:

• Network,
• Share good practice
• Access practical and relevant resources and ideas to take away
• Identify key issues and develop strategies and solutions to address these.

Anyone who had hoped that they could have a quiet snooze at the conference would have been very disappointed. From the moment participants arrived they were actively participating with their painted hand print on the Conference banner. This really was going to be “Hands-on Learning”.
A range of workshops, forums, panel of experts and discussion pits ensured the participants were able to gain a wide range of information, resources, ideas and networking opportunities. The highlight was the opportunity for practitioners to come together and share their knowledge. Plenty of laughs, a trip to the waterfalls at night and even a special visit from a guest ‘dignitary’ ensured that this conference was one that no one wants to miss next time!
